Cumberland piles up the points against Unity Christian

Recap: Cumberland Pirates vs. Unity Christian Lions
The Cumberland Pirates scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Unity Christian on the road to the tune of 70-38. The win was some much needed relief for Cumberland as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Kelby Bierman went supernova for Cumberland, scoring 21 points along with seven assists and five steals. Bierman hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Zack Harmon, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Cumberland's victory bumped their record up to 10-18. As for Unity Christian, they are on a 24-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-24.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cumberland will take on Villa Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Unity Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Unity Christian is coming into the matchup with seven straight losses at home, meaning Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
