League recap: 6A East powerhouse Jacksonville rising in national rankings

6A East league recap: 5/7/12

Jacksonville went from 65 to 56 in the national rankings since last week after going 2-0 in the past seven days.

Marion currently leads the league with a 13-6 record overall and a 11-3 mark during league play. Jonesboro is 0.50 game back and in second place with a 10-3 league record.

West Memphis's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only 15 hits and 18 walks, both of which led the league. The Blue Devils's pitchers have been charged with only 177 hits and have struck out 181 batters. Gray Fenter is tops on the staff with 56 Ks.
