Soccer Game Preview: Woodcrest Christian vs. San Jacinto Leadership Academy

The Woodcrest Christian Royals are taking a road trip to square off against the San Jacinto Leadership Academy Lions at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

San Jacinto Leadership Academy is hoping to do what Vista del Lago couldn't on December 12th: put an end to Woodcrest Christian's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Woodcrest Christian never let Vista del Lago onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory. While the Royals didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-11-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, San Jacinto Leadership Academy fell victim to Temecula Prep and their airtight defense last Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly two goals.

Woodcrest Christian's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for San Jacinto Leadership Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4-1 record this season.

Everything went Woodcrest Christian's way against San Jacinto Leadership Academy in their previous meeting back in January, as Woodcrest Christian made off with a 9-0 victory.
