Volleyball Recap: Springfield Blue Devils vs. Northview Wildcats
Springfield lost against Northview back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Blue Devils came up short against the Wildcats, falling 3-0. Blue Devils fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Wildcats since Thursday.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-21, 25-18.
Macey Grymkowski paced Springfield's offense, picking up six kills. Grymkowski got some help from Zoe Rose and her 15 assists.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jade Hagan, who had 14 digs. Hagan is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Charlotte Narewski, who had seven digs and three aces.
Springfield dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Northview, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springfield is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Archbold at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Northview, they will head out to square off against Lake at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday.
