Softball Recap: Boylan Catholic Takes a Loss

After flying high against Rockford East on Wednesday, Boylan Catholic came back down to earth. The Titans came up short against the Belvidere North Blue Thunder on Friday, falling 11-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Titans of the 14-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Boylan Catholic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ari Ousley, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Boylan Catholic has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Belvidere North, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Boylan Catholic is set to take on their familiar foe Jefferson at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Belvidere North will challenge rival Belvidere at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
