Baseball Recap: Camden County Vo-Tech Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Camden County Vo-Tech had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They blew past the Gloucester County Christian Conquerors 8-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-3 two weeks ago.

Brayden Falcone was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Jacob Shaw was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Joseph Shaw was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Camden County Vo-Tech pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Gloucester County Christian, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Camden County Vo-Tech will head out on the road to take on Salem at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gloucester County Christian, they will face off against The Pilgrim Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
