Baseball Recap: Union County Takes a Loss

Union County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Woodruff Wolverines. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, with their most recent defeat being a 4-1 loss on Wednesday.

Union County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Woodruff, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Union County will head out to face off against Chester at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Woodruff, they will venture away from home to challenge Blacksburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
