Baseball Recap: Oxford Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bay Path RVT, Oxford was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They never let the Leicester Wolverines get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won three contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Oxford has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Leicester, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coming up, Oxford will square off against Millbury at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Leicester, they will face off against Quaboag Regional at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wolverines are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
