Softball Recap: Heritage Comes Up Short

Heritage and Bellmont squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Heritage had to settle for second. They fell 6-3 to the Braves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Braves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 back in April.

Heritage saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Danica Fuller, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs.

Heritage has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-11 record this season. As for Bellmont, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season.

Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bellmont, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-3 loss against Mississinewa on the 29th.
