Basketball Recap: Northland Takes a Loss

Northland lost against Watkins Memorial back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Northland Vikings fell to the Watkins Memorial Warriors 60-55. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shelby Lott had a dynamite game for Watkins Memorial, going 9 of 20 en route to 29 points and five boards. The dominant performance gave Lott a new career-high in points. Ella Perry was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

Northland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Watkins Memorial, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 4-9 record.

Northland has already played their next match (against Linden-McKinley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Watkins Memorial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-32 loss against Granville on the 15th.
