Softball Preview: Eminence Eels vs. White River Valley Wolverines

The Eminence Eels will play host again on Friday to welcome the White River Valley Wolverines, where first pitch is scheduled at 5:30 p.m. Eminence knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with flashy run totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully White River Valley likes a good challenge.

Eminence can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Bethesda Christian with a sharp 11-3 win.

Sophia Saucerman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Saucerman has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances. Saucerman was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
