Basketball Game Preview: New Lothrop Hornets vs. Birch Run Panthers

The New Lothrop Hornets and the Birch Run Panthers will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. New Lothrop is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

New Lothrop came up short against Chesaning on Monday, falling 56-32.

Meanwhile, Birch Run earned a 62-50 win over Lakeville on Friday.

Birch Run has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for New Lothrop, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

New Lothrop took their victory against Birch Run in their previous meeting back in February of 2022 by a conclusive 60-40. Will New Lothrop repeat their success, or does Birch Run have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
