            Softball Recap: Oneida Indians vs. Pigeon Forge Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Oneida never let their opponents score on Friday. Everything went their way against the Pigeon Forge Tigers as they made off with  a  17-0 victory. The  win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

 Jolie Duncan made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances with one  run and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Kennedy Shoemaker, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Lillian Hailey, who  went 1-for-2 with three  runs and one  stolen base.
Oneida's  victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 7-17. As for Pigeon Forge,  they are  on  a  nine-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Oneida will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
