Basketball Recap: Mellen Takes a Loss

Mellen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 42-41 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mercer Tigers. The Granite Diggers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 56-44.

Mellen now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Mercer, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-16.

As of now, neither Mellen nor Mercer have any future games scheduled.
