Softball Recap: Roosevelt Comes Up Short

If Roosevelt was riding high fresh off their 13-2 takedown of St. Croix Lutheran on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Teddies lost 11-1 to the Mayer Lutheran Knights on Saturday.

Roosevelt saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ilsa Kaley, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Roosevelt's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Mayer Lutheran, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Coming up, Roosevelt will head out on the road to square off against Park Center at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mayer Lutheran, they will welcome Spectrum at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Sting's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
