Hamilton County was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Goreville on Wednesday. The Foxes were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Blackcats. The Foxes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by eight runs or more this season.

Emery Hart was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Saylor Brown was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Hamilton County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests.

Hamilton County's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-11. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Goreville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11.
