Baseball Recap: Lansing Takes a Loss

Lansing entered their contest against Shawnee Heights on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Lions fell just short of the Thunderbirds by a score of 9-7. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunderbirds apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Lansing's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Shawnee Heights, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

While Lansing had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Thursday.
