Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Plymouth). They walked away with a 59-50 win over the Homedale Trojans on Friday. This was payback for the Pilgrims, who suffered a 48-45 loss the last time these two teams met.

When it comes to explaining why Homedale lost, don't look at Tiana Sorenson. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double with 25 points and nine boards. That was a full 50% of the Trojans' points, marking the third time in a row Sorenson has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Alivia Campos, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds.

The victory got New Plymouth back to even at 2-2. As for Homedale, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Homedale will square off against Marsing at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. New Plymouth will be paying especially close attention to the Trojans' contest: after the Trojans face off against the Huskies, they'll take on New Plymouth again at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
