Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams had lost four straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 0-8 to make it five. They lost 25-4 to the Draper APA Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-0 on Friday.
Kyson White was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That hit marked the first that he has got this season.
As for Draper APA, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by ten runs or more this season.
On Draper APA's side, Weston Stratton was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Stratton was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Draper APA: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-3 otherwise.
In other batting news, Draper APA got a massive performance out of Oliver Wagner, who went 3-for-4 with six stolen bases, five runs, and two RBI. Those five runs gave Wagner a new career-high. Graham Lowe was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Looking ahead, Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams will be playing in front of their home fans against Freedom Prep Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 22.89 runs per game on average), something the Marauders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Draper APA, they will head out on the road to square off against Merit Preparatory Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
