9-Man Region 2 (9 Man) recap October 22, 2013

Cavalier extended the longest winning streak in 9-Man Region 2 (9 Man) this week by beating Four Winds, 64-0. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Tornadoes.

Cavalier led the league in scoring this week by notching 64 points on the Indians.

Malek Larimer provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Thompson defeated New Rockford-Sheyenne. He completed 6 passes for 130 yards and 1 touchdown and also ran for 132 yards. Larimer's favorite target this week was Calen Schwabe, who caught 5 passes for 111 yards.

Ty Myron was the best running back in the league this week. In 22 carries, he ran for 202 yards as the Tommies beat the Rockets. Teammate Larimer added to the ground attack by rushing for 132 yards.

Leading 9-Man Region 2 (9 Man) in both passing and receiving yards, North Star/Starkweather's Riley Thomas and Alex Weston have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-10 quarterback Thomas has thrown for 680 yards this season, while Weston has 36 catches for 609 yards. Thompson's Myron leads the league in rushing yards with 1,318.
