The Deer Valley Wolverines will venture away from home to face off against the American Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Deer Valley will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
On Tuesday, everything went Deer Valley's way against Ygnacio Valley as Deer Valley made off with a 22-1 win. Considering the Wolverines have won three matchups by more than 17 runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Katalina Rogel was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Rogel was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Rosalyn Zermeno was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, six RBI, and two runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Braelyn Valdez was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing Six bases. while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Deer Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .659. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, American was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Mt. Eden, falling 13-2.
American saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amber Hillman, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. That run was Hillman's first of the season.
The victory got Deer Valley back to even at 3-3. As for American, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
American's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Deer Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .364.
