Softball Preview: Excelsior Charter Eagles vs. Big Bear Bears

The Excelsior Charter Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Big Bear Bears at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Excelsior Charter is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.

In what's become a running theme this season, Excelsior Charter gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They blew past Big Bear 17-5. The win was just what Excelsior Charter needed coming off of an 18-6 defeat in their prior match.

Rylie Hunsaker was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits (she also only allowed one walk). Hunsaker has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in ten consecutive pitching appearances. Hunsaker was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
