Baseball Recap: Brentsville District Finds Home Field Redemption Against Warren County

There's no place like home for Brentsville District, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Warren County Wildcats on Friday, sneaking past 7-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-2 back in April.

Jeffery Cook was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was David Moffett, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Brentsville District was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Brentsville District is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Warren County, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-9.

Brentsville District has already played their next matchup, a 5-1 victory against Meridian on the 15th. As for Warren County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-5 win against Skyline on the 10th.
