Independence Home School extends home winning streak to four

Recap: Independence Home School Lions vs. Frontier School of Excellence

The Independence Home School Lions meant business on Monday, getting buckets from all over the court against a Frontier School of Excellence squad that has allowed just 28 points per contest. Independence Home School pulled ahead with a 57-56 photo finish over Frontier School of Excellence. The victory was familiar territory for Independence Home School who now have three in a row.

Joe Young was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 20 points. Isaac Daniels was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Merwis Ramirez Rodriguez and Henry Uti certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Ramirez Rodriguez scored 19 points, while Uti scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mohamed Yussuf, who scored seven points.

Independence Home School's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Frontier School of Excellence, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-1.

Independence Home School has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Frontier STEM at 4:00 p.m. on December 15th. Frontier STEM will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 551st in Missouri, while Independence Home School is ranked 260th in Kansas). As for Frontier School of Excellence, they will head out on the road to face off against Ozanam at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ozanam is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.1 points per game.
