Volleyball Recap: Providence Hall Patriots vs. Carbon Dinos
Providence Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Carbon Dinos, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Dinos this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat back in March.
Providence Hall was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-15, 25-23.
Providence Hall's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Carbon, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Providence Hall will host Freedom Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. As for Carbon, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against American Heritage at 6:30 p.m.
