David Scariano leads Imperial to victory over Calexico

Recap: Imperial Tigers vs. Calexico Bulldogs
Even though the Imperial Tigers have not done well against the Calexico Bulldogs recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Imperial took down Calexico 67-49. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Imperial.
It was another big night for David Scariano, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Imperial's points. Another player making a difference was Jared Nixon, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 21 rebounds.
Imperial's victory bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Calexico, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-8.
Imperial will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Palo Verde Valley at 7:00 p.m. Palo Verde Valley is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. Calexico on the road again on Tuesday and play against Vincent Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Vincent Memorial will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
