Basketball Recap: Winston Gets the Win

Winston won the last time they faced Union Star and things went their way on Monday too. The Winston Red Birds came out on top in a nail-biter against the Union Star Trojans, sneaking past 33-31. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Red Birds as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Winston now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Union Star, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winston will face off against Albany at 6:00 p.m. on January 20th. As for Union Star, they will challenge Northland Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st.
