Soccer Game Preview: Salesian vs. Cathedral

The Salesian Mustangs are taking a road trip to take on the Cathedral Phantoms at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.

Salesian is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Rancho Buena Vista just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Longhorns by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty eight goals in the game before, the Mustangs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Cathedral kept a clean sheet against Whitney on Monday. They blew past the Wildcats 3-0. The Phantoms might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by three goals or more this season.

They hit Whitney with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Christopher Guzman, Mike Marcial, and Angel Sandres.

Salesian now has a losing record at 5-6-1. As for Cathedral, their win bumped their record up to 4-2-2.
