Baseball Recap: Walla Walla Valley Academy Takes a Loss

Walla Walla Valley Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 13-4 to the Riverside Christian Crusaders. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly nine runs.

Austin Stanciu was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 2-for-2. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.4 stolen bases per game. Evan Oteman was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Walla Walla Valley Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Riverside Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walla Walla Valley Academy will challenge Waitsburg/Prescott at 2:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Riverside Christian, they will square off against Goldendale at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
