Beachside waltzed into their matchup on Friday with 16 straight wins... but they left with 17. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Venice Indians. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Barracudas have posted since September 14, 2024.

Adriana Jeanpierre paced Beachside's offense, picking up 21 kills. Jeanpierre were helped by Erica Duffy and Mollie VanDeusen, who contributed 15 assists each.

When it comes to explaining why Venice lost, don't look at Amelia Anselmi. Despite the final result, she had 14 digs and two aces. Anselmi has been hot, having also posted 17 or more assists the last seven times she's played.
