Soccer Game Preview: Godwin vs. Midlothian

The Godwin Eagles will take on the Midlothian Trojans on Friday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Godwin sitting on five straight wins and Midlothian on four.

Godwin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They never let Prince George get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. Godwin might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Midlothian faced James River Midlothian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Trojans came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rapids, sneaking past 2-1.

Godwin's win bumped their record up to 16-1-1. As for Midlothian, their victory bumped their record up to 18-1-2.
