Volleyball Recap: Mourning Triumphs

Monsignor Pace came into Wednesday's matchup looking for another win against Mourning, but Juan Clavijo wouldn't allow it. Mourning came out on top against Monsignor Pace by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday for which the team can thank Clavijo, who had 39 digs and two assists. Clavijo is crushing it when it comes to digs: he's had at least 19 every time he's taken the court this season.

Mourning had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-22, 26-24, 25-23.

Mourning's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Monsignor Pace, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-5 record.

Mourning has already played their next contest (against Ferguson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Monsignor Pace, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Calvary Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on April 1.
