Basketball Game Preview: Ragsdale Tigers vs. Northwest Guilford Vikings

Ragsdale is 2-8 against Northwest Guilford since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Ragsdale Tigers will host the Northwest Guilford Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Ragsdale fought the good fight in their overtime game against Southwest Guilford on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cowboys. The Tigers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Despite the loss, Ragsdale had strong showings from Aaliya Boddie, who posted 16 points, and Brooke Parker, who earned 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'Mya Boddie, who put up eight points.

Meanwhile, it was a classic North v. South duel when Northwest Guilford duked it out withSoutheast Guilford on Thursday. Northwest Guilford took a 50-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southeast Guilford.

Ragsdale's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Northwest Guilford, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-5.

Ragsdale might still be hurting after the 46-21 defeat they got from Northwest Guilford in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Ragsdale avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
