Basketball Recap: Lucca Maher and Jean-Luc Uharriet Secure Win for Burlingame

Burlingame's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 51-42 victory over the Gunn Titans. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leading Burlingame to victory were Jean-Luc Uharriet and Lucca Maher. Uharriet posted 17 points, while Maher made all 5 shots he took to post 13 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Uharriet a new career-high in points. Marcus Tapia was another key player, putting up seven points.

Burlingame's record is now 4-5. As for Gunn, they now also have a losing record at 4-5.

Burlingame wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-42 loss against El Camino on the 30th. After both having extra time off, Gunn and KIPP San Jose Collegiate will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 6:30 p.m. on January 4th.
