Baseball Game Preview: Muldrow Bulldogs vs. Hackett Hornets

The Muldrow Bulldogs will square off against the Hackett Hornets at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Muldrow has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Hackett will arrive with nine straight victories.

Muldrow came up short against Stigler on Tuesday, falling 10-3.

Muldrow saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Miller, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hackett). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Acorn a 21-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won four matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Hackett pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Muldrow, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
