Carroll County's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Galax as they made off with a 21-0 victory. Considering the Cavaliers have won six games by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Radford came up short against Floyd County on Tuesday and fell 7-3. The loss continues a trend for the Bobcats in their meetings with the Buffaloes: they've now lost four in a row.

Radford saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Joyce, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Joyce has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Carroll County pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Radford, they now have a losing record of 3-4-1.
