Preview: Addison Panthers vs. Jonesville Comets
The Addison Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Jonesville Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Addison has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 3.
Last Tuesday, Addison was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 39-33 to the Comets. While losing is never fun, Addison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 550th, while the Comets are ranked 215th).
Meanwhile, Jonesville lost to the Golden Eagles on the road by a decisive 49-33 margin on Tuesday. Jonesville has not had much luck with the Golden Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Addison's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Jonesville, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
Addison might still be hurting after the 47-25 loss they got from the Comets when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Addison avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
