Dwyer won the last time they faced Cardinal Newman and things went their way  on Wednesday too. The Panthers put the hurt on the Crusaders with a sharp  9-0 victory. The  win was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won four  games in a row.
The result came thanks to  Kylie Guthrie's shutout, as she gave up just two  hits.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Sierra Cook, who  went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in February.  Ava Pratt was another key player,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with two  stolen bases and one  RBI.
The  victory  got Dwyer back to even at 12-12. As for Cardinal Newman, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost 12 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record  this season.
