Basketball Recap: Douglass Falls Despite Big Games from Jace Pichler and Wyatt Moore

Douglass and Pleasanton squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Douglass had to settle for second. They took a 39-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pleasanton Blu-Jays.

Douglass' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Wyatt Moore, who posted ten points and five boards, and Jace Pichler, who had six points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Pichler a new career-high in boards.

Douglass' loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Pleasanton, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Douglass does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pleasanton, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-29 defeat against St. Mary's-Colgan on the 6th.
