Recap: Northeast Eagles vs. Concordia Prep Saints

The Northeast Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Concordia Prep by a score of 37-35.

Northeast's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kamaria Brown, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and six steals. Those nine rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Madison Burris was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.

Northeast's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.3 points per game. As for Concordia Prep, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.

Northeast and Old Mill will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Old Mill is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Concordia Prep will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mount de Sales Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 10, 2024.
