Softball Recap: Chandler Takes a Loss

Chandler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-11 heartbreaker at the hands of the Marana Tigers. Even though they lost, the Wolves' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.3 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Cian Noli made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Cecilia Escalante, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Chandler's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Marana, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-6 record.

Looking ahead, Chandler will challenge Kofa at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marana, they will face off against Sabino at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sabino will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
