Football Game Preview: Burke County Bears vs. Carver Tigers

The Burke County Bears will venture away from home to take on the Carver Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Burke County sitting on 11 straight wins and Carver on 12.

Burke County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup last Friday. They walked away with a 35-22 victory over Rockmart. The Bears' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

One reason for the win was Burke County's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Darius Jordan was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.

Meanwhile, Carver was fully in charge last Friday, breezing past Appling County 49-6. Considering the Tigers have won 12 contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Carver pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Burke County, their victory bumped their record up to 13-1.
