Volleyball Recap: Lee Williams Victorious

Lee Williams played in-conference for the first time on Thursday and got just the result they were looking for. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Coconino Panthers. This was payback for the Volunteers, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

The win didn't come easy: Coconino scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 21-25, 26-24, 25-21.

Lee Williams found their leader in sophomore Aliana Bremmer, who had nine digs, two blocks, and two aces.

Lee Williams now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Coconino, they dropped their record down to 6-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lee Williams will challenge rival Prescott at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Coconino is set to square off against their familiar foe Bradshaw Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
