Basketball Preview: Cinnaminson Pirates vs. Palmyra Panthers
Cinnaminson is 7-1 against the Panthers since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Cinnaminson Pirates will head out on the road to square off against the Palmyra Panthers at 5:15 p.m. One thing working in Cinnaminson's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups.
Cinnaminson pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 70-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Holy Cross. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Cinnaminson came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Lancers are ranked 210th).
Meanwhile, Palmyra unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 55-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pennsauken.
Cinnaminson's defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-3. As for Palmyra, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7.
Everything came up roses for Cinnaminson against the Panthers in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 72-41 victory. With Cinnaminson ahead 44-17 at the half, the match was all but over already.
