After a string of four wins, Hattiesburg's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. The game between them and the Terry Bulldogs didn't end well, with the Hattiesburg Tigers falling 52-38. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 26th).

Terry found their leader in sophomore Madison Jones, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 15 blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season. Maleah Young was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

Hattiesburg's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-10. As for Terry, they pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Hattiesburg has already played their next contest (against Pearl River Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Terry will welcome Jim Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
