Basketball Recap: West Wilkes Wins Going Away Against Starmount

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ashe County, West Wilkes was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They took down the Starmount Rams 49-30. This was a revenge game for the Blackhawks: when they faced off against the Rams two weeks ago, they had to take a 56-48 defeat.

Despite the loss, Starmount had strong showings from Carley Money, who posted 11 points, and Madison Cox, who scored six points.

West Wilkes' victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Starmount, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

West Wilkes didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-44 defeat against Surry Central on the 13th. As for Starmount, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 69-23 loss against Forbush on the 13th.
