Basketball Recap: Indianola Academy Comes Up Short at Home Against Deer Creek

Indianola Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 45-32 to the Deer Creek Warriors on Monday.

Indianola Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Patrick Davis, who shot 55% from the field to rack up 14 points. Isaiah Morgan was another key player, putting up seven points along with five boards and three steals.

Coming up, Indianola Academy will square off against Carroll Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th. Deer Creek will be paying especially close attention to the Colonels' matchup: after the Colonels face off against the Rebels, they'll take on Deer Creek again at 7:00 p.m. on the 20th.
