Volleyball Game Preview: Hollywood Hills Spartans vs. McArthur Mustangs

For the first time this season, Hollywood Hills will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the McArthur Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Monday, Hollywood Hills came up short against Everglades and fell 3-1. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hollywood Hills started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-16.

Meanwhile, McArthur was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Coconut Creek.

McArthur's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Hollywood Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Hollywood Hills suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to McArthur in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
