Softball Game Preview: Harmony Eagles vs. Jefferson Bulldogs

The Harmony Eagles will head out to take on the Jefferson Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Thursday. Harmony fell just short of New Diana by a score of 2-1. Harmony has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Jefferson came into Friday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Chapel Hill by a score of 5-1 on Friday.

Maddie Clark made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maddie Cooner, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Janaa Goynes also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Harmony's loss dropped their record down to 6-5-1. As for Jefferson, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Harmony might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Jefferson when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Harmony avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
