Soccer Recap: Roncalli Catholic Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Roncalli Catholic). Everything went their way against the Conestoga Cougars on Tuesday as they made off with a 7-1 win. It was an even better day for Will Preston as he scored three goals for his team.

Roncalli Catholic used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Conestoga. Three players got more time on the pitch than they're used to: Andre Alemdjrodo (65), Sebastian Camio (65), and Sam Elias (65). The trio had averaged 31.2, 42.2, and 25.1 minutes respectively before Tuesday's match. Camio made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Roncalli Catholic, bringing their record up to 7-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four contests. As for Conestoga, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
